Endless Wonders is Turning One 🎈
Portland Book Week, June events, book club picks, and more!
![]() | an online and pop-up bookshop in Portland, OR that specializes in stories by and about people from historically marginalized communities, across genres and ages. |

We’re turning one!
We launched our online shop and had our first pop-up last June and I cannot believe we’re getting closer to celebrating one full year of Endless Wonders. 🥹 Starting a small retail business focused on diverse books during an economic recession is a somewhat foolish endeavor, and yet, y’all have been there to support us along the way. We really cannot put into words how grateful we are for your support. Commenting, sharing, and boosting our social posts, telling your friends about us, showing up at events, discussing diverse books with us and of course, supporting the store financially truly means the world. With your help, we’ve been able to get to a break even point for our small business. We’d love to be able to start saving towards a future brick & mortar home, so we hope you’ll continue to support us!
To get in a more sustainable financial situation, we have a goal of getting 10 more Book Bud Subscription Box members! These are our personally curated book boxes for any genre and any age group. Simply tell us what types of books you vibe with and which ones to avoid and we’ll have a book just for you every month or quarter. ✨ For new Book Bud members, we’ll give you a free Endless Wonders tote bag and stickers with your first box! ✨ Our Book Bud boxes are eligible for shipping across the US or free local delivery in Portland.
Join us for our anniversary party on Sunday, June 7th 🎈
We’ll have mini cupcakes and macarons to celebrate (while supplies last) and an all-star slate of local authors will be hanging out, signing books, and chatting with readers throughout the day. Did we mention it also happens to be Portland Book Week? There is no end to the book magic, y’all.

Portland Book Week is June 5-14 📚
Portland Book Week is back! PBW is an annual celebration of Portland’s indie bookstores and this year, we’re doing 10 days of bookish bingo, a massive bookstore crawl, and so many fun bookish events.
We’ll have limited edition Portland Book Week totebags available (very limited quantity, $12), and make sure to pick up your PBW bingo card for an opportunity to win amazing prizes. Check out this year’s bingo card and rules here. We got some adorable new tiny snail stamps to stamp the PBW bingo cards, so help us use them! We’ll have two pop-up events during Portland Book Week (check out our upcoming event section at the end of this newsletter) and you can still get bingo stamps there as well.
During Portland Book Week, we’ll be offering a BOGO deal on new books: Buy 3, get 1 15% off (in person only).

Please join us virtually on Saturday, June 27th at 11am PT for a conversation with Lauren J. Joseph and Torrey Peters.
Endless Wonders Books is excited to welcome playwright and author Lauren J. Joseph to celebrate the release of her newest book, Lean Cat, Savage Cat! She will be joined in conversation by bestselling and award-winning (including recent Pulitzer Prize finalist) author Torrey Peters. Following their conversation will be audience Q&A.
This event will take place on Saturday, June 27th from 11am PT-12pm PT on Zoom. You must register for the event in order to receive the meeting link.

Help us get diverse books to local students!
This May, we are partnering with The Shadow Project to help get diverse books to local students who need them. The Shadow Project is a local nonprofit that offers school-based programs, proven to help K-8 students with learning challenges — like dyslexia, ADHD, autism and trauma — build skills for school and life success.
Help support local students with learning challenges by purchasing books from our Bookshop.org registry! Books purchased through the registry will be mailed directly to The Shadow Project and will be distributed to students. The Book Drive will run throughout the entire month of May. Please help us get as many books to students as possible by sharing our social posts (already posted on Instagram, Threads, and Bluesky) and telling your friends and family!
We' have about a week left on our book drive. We have a goal of getting 5 more books donated to The Shadow Project’s by the end of May. Will you please help us get there?
