Book Bud Subscription Boxes 📚🎁
Did you know we have subscription boxes? They’re great for yourself or as a gift for someone else. Here’s how it works:
Pick the age range for the recipient:
Children: Let us help the little in your life start their personal library with our beautiful, diverse picture books.
Middle Reader: have an early reader or preteen you want to encourage their love of reading?
Young Adult: have a teenager or an adult (no shame!) reading through books faster than you get them from the library?
Adult: Those of us that have responsibilities. Sigh.
Pick the frequency you’d like your box to come:
Monthly: a new book for every month of the year? Hot dog!
Quarterly: a new book for every season? Ooooh yeah.
Pick the fulfillment method:
Shipping: If you’re outside Portland, we’ll ship your box to the recipient at the requested frequency.
Local Delivery: Local to Portland? We’ll bike your box over to you and leave it lovingly on your porch (or wherever your packages go).
Optional: Let us know any reading preferences for the recipient! Include either things they dislike or things they gravitate towards, from genres to tropes to emotional experience while reading. Want to have books with a specific type of representation? Let us know!
Book boxes are a great way to explore new authors or genres or for a kid to grow their personal library. We absolutely love picking out books for our Book Buds and they help us be more sustainable as a business!

The Endless Wonders Books Holiday Gift Guide
The Endless Wonders Holiday Gift Guide is finally here! I wish I could tell you why this took me so long to put together. I meant to have it out to y’all over a week ago. It was very fun to put together, but sometimes my brain just gets stuck on the logistics, ya know? Anyway, here it is. We hope you find it helpful, but please know that we love helping with personal recommendations. So come in to the pop-up shop in Hungry Heart when I’m there (usually after 12pm Thurs-Sun) and tell me a little bit about the person you’re shopping for and I’m sure we can find something they’ll love! You can also email us for recommendations.
Check out the full gift guide on our Instagram here or on our website.

Winter holds a lot of big days for Mags and I. Mags’s birthday is late November, we got married one year ago on the Winter Solstice, our first date was almost 9 years ago in January, I finally convinced Mags to move across the country and be my boo almost 5 years ago in February, and I’ve got some trauma anniversaries in early December and on New Years, not to mention the holiday season has generally been full of nightmares and trauma for me specifically. For those of y’all with a lot of feelings around the winter months, I feel you. I’m with you. I’m grateful that after many years of therapy and intentionality, the winter now holds a lot more joy than pain, but the grief is still there. We hope you’re making the holidays into whatever you need them to be. Our favorite holiday tradition is to make a nice brunch, then a huge charcuterie board and we just “laze and graze” all day working on crafts, puzzles, and watching movies. No stress. No drama. Just connection and nervous system tending. We’re wishing you a season full of peace, joy, and community. We hope to see you soon, buds. Cheers, zo and mags | ![]() |
